Once inside, you’ll see a dashboard of pre-built scenarios covering a wide range of real-world sales challenges:
Budget rejection
High-intent, high-risk deal
Competitor head-on
Giving a product demo
Reigniting a dormant prospect
Winning back a lost deal
First call with a hot lead
Navigating a change in champion
The ghosting prospect
Competing priorities
You can launch any scenario to practice conversations with AI video avatars acting as prospects or buyers. These agents are trained to simulate realistic behavior—and offer coaching along the way.
You can launch a roleplay session in two ways:
Choose a scenario from the AI Roleplay dashboard.
Enable your mic and (optionally) your camera.
Click “Join.”
The avatar will begin the simulation immediately. You can either respond naturally or add a custom prompt to shape the interaction. For example:
“Let’s roleplay as if I’m trying to win back a customer who churned due to budget constraints.”
Once prompted, simply say: “Let’s roleplay this together,” and the simulation will begin.
You can also pause at any time to ask the AI for coaching or clarification, then resume the roleplay when ready.
You can now start a roleplay directly from a real sales call:
Go to the Recordings tab under Pulse.
Select any past meeting.
Click “AI Roleplay” from the playback screen.
This spins up a personalized simulation based on that conversation—so you can practice objection handling, refine your talk track, and receive coaching in context.
Before diving into the roleplay, you can give the AI agent more context to customize the conversation. For example, you can prompt the avatar by saying:
“Let’s roleplay this as if I’m in a tough negotiation and need to build an ROI business case to justify our solution to leadership.”
This helps the avatar respond in a way that reflects the pressure, tone, and priorities of that scenario.
You can also follow our Prompt Best Practices Guide [LINK] for tips on writing clear, actionable prompts that improve the AI’s performance.
Key Tips:
Be clear and direct with your request.
Provide context like deal type, customer profile, tone, or objections.
Use positive, action-oriented language.
Once prompted, say:
“Let’s roleplay this together.”
The AI will then begin the simulation.
At any time during the session, you can:
Pause the simulation by speaking directly to the AI.
Ask questions like “What could I have said differently?” or “How should I respond to this objection?”
Get coaching notes in real-time.
The AI will pause and respond with personalized suggestions. Once you're ready, you can jump right back in.
Whether you're sharpening your discovery game or prepping for high-stakes negotiations, Orum’s AI Roleplay Agents are here to help you practice with purpose. The more you engage, the better you get—so jump in, test your talk tracks, and turn every conversation into a chance to grow.
