With skipping duplicate numbers or 'deduping' numbers, Orum can automatically prevent calls to phone numbers shared across multiple prospects.
Note:
Skipping duplicate numbers or 'deduping' is automatically turned on by default .
In Power Dialing, you have the choice to enable or disable deduping for duplicate numbers.
In Parallel Dialing, deduping is enabled automatically and cannot be turned off.
When using Power Dialing, you now have the option to “Skip duplicate numbers,” found in the Dialer settings panel:
Enable Skip Duplicate Numbers
This setting is enabled by default, ensuring Orum will only call a duplicate phone number once for any list of prospects. This avoids multiple calls to the same gatekeeper or contact and prevents redundant dials within the same session.
Disabling the Setting
If you want to dial duplicates, they can uncheck “Skip duplicate numbers” in the Dialer settings panel. This reverts the system to include each instance of the duplicate number.
With Parallel Dialing, Orum automatically deduplicates to keep you focused and efficient and to help raise your overall connect rate. Here’s how it works:
Primary Contact Priority
Orum will call only the first instance of a phone number found in the list, targeting the initial prospect linked to that number.
Handling Alternate Numbers
If the duplicate number is a secondary or alternate contact for a prospect, Orum will mark it as removed from the dialing queue. This alternate will still appear in the list but will not be dialed again.
Duplicate-Only Numbers
If the only number associated with a prospect is marked as a duplicate, that prospect will be moved to the “Uncallable” section and tagged with the label “Duplicate number.”
Switching Between Modes
If you prefer to contact duplicates, they can switch to Power Dialing and uncheck “Skip duplicate numbers” in the settings.
