Properly configuring your call dispositions in Outreach is crucial for accurate reporting and a smooth workflow. This also helps prevent accidental follow-up with prospects.
Follow best practices: For the best insights on your calls, use the best practices guide for creating new call dispositions in Outreach.
Prevent accidental follow-up: Configure your Outreach dispositions to automatically unenroll prospects from a sequence when appropriate. For example:
Type = "Answered": The prospect is removed from the sequence.
Type = "Unanswered": The prospect remains in the sequence.
For the best results, build dynamic, omnichannel sequences with at least eight call steps. This ensures your reps have plenty of opportunities to connect with prospects.
To help your reps prepare for calls, make sure they can easily access important account and prospect notes. To pull these notes from Outreach directly into Orum, each rep needs to install the Orum Chrome Extension.
If you are an Admin, make sure to first complete our Admin Checklist.
Then, make a few test dials. When you place a call in Orum, this is how it should appear in Outreach:
For the best performance with Orum, we recommend using the Chrome browser. Please make sure you have the latest version installed.

This will help maximize your connect rates. To maximize preparedness for calls, also map LinkedIn URLs and any other relevant fields for your reps to have on hand. Support guides for Lusha, ZoomInfo, LeadIQ, Seamless, Apollo.
In Orum, you can call prospects who have a due 'call task' in a Sequence, or a due One-Off task. After making your dials, the call tasks will be completed and prospects will move to the next step of the Sequence.
For Admins:
Efficiency is crucial in sales, and Outreach can help your team by automatically removing prospects from sequences once they've engaged. Here's how to set up essential triggers for this purpose:
We strongly recommend setting up Triggers in Outreach to automate the removal of prospects from Sequences under specific conditions, such as when a meeting is booked or a prospect is disqualified.
Here are some examples:
If a meeting is booked or a prospect is disqualified (Disposition: "Meeting Booked," "Objection: No Budget," etc.):
THEN Mark all Sequences as finished.
AND Set Lead Status to "In Progress" or "Disqualified."
If a follow-up is required (Disposition: "Busy - Call Later," "Send Email"):
THEN Remove the prospect from all Sequences.
AND Set Lead Status to "In Progress."
AND Create a high-priority Call Task.
If a prospect has no valid phone number (Disposition: "Wrong Phone #"):
THEN Remove the prospect from all Sequences.
AND Add the prospect to an Email Only Sequence.
Once you've completed these steps, you're ready to start dialing!
In Outreach, Orum logs completed call activities based on the type of disposition. It includes call duration, outgoing phone number, and the number called, and it also Tags the call with the disposition. For List Intelligence Dispositions, it logs the disposition in the notes.
Under Reports, find Activity, then Select the Team or individual User.
This will show you a high-level overview of activities reps have done in the specified time frame.
‘Outbound Calls’ will be a combination of Orum and Outreach Dialer calls.
Under Reports, find Activity, then Calls. Detailed reporting breakdown of Calling analytics, connect rates, dispositions, and much more.
Will reflect Orum + Outreach calls.
Under Calls, set filters to:
Team = <specific team>
Call Date = Today
Tags contains any ‘Orum’
Every call made in Orum is tagged which allows you to separate calls made from Orum vs calls made in Outreach’s dialer.
