🚨 Important notice for all users: Apollo lacks a method for SSO via their API, as a workaround, you can log into Orum using other integrations (Outreach, SalesLoft, Salesforce, Hubspot, Google, Microsoft), and then switch to Apollo within Orum.

How to Set Up Apollo for Orum

To ensure a smooth and effective workflow with your Orum and Apollo integration, follow these key setup steps. By configuring Apollo correctly, you'll gain better insights from your calls and keep your sequences running efficiently.

1. Leverage Call Disposition Best Practices

Using proper call dispositions in Apollo is essential for understanding what's happening on your calls and improving your reporting.

• Apply best practices: Follow the recommended guidelines on which dispositions to use for the best insights. Follow these steps on how to add dispositions in Apollo.

• Configure disposition "Type": For each disposition you create, set the "Type" in Apollo to control how contacts move through your sequences:

  • Connected: The contact will not advance to the next step in the sequence.

  • Not Connected: The contact will continue to move through the sequence.

2. Build Dynamic, Omnichannel Sequences

To maximize your outreach efforts, build dynamic, omni-channel sequences in Apollo. We recommend including at least eight call steps in each sequence to provide ample opportunities for reps to connect with prospects.

For Admins and Reps:

Outbound sequences are the heart of your sales efforts, and how you approach them can significantly impact your pipeline generation and revenue.

Consider these best practices:

• Segment Your Audience: Tailor your sequences to specific audience segments. Personalization increases engagement.

• A/B Test Your Messaging: Experiment with different messaging and track which approaches yield the best results.

• Set Follow-up Cadences: Define follow-up cadences to maintain consistent contact without overwhelming prospects and create Apollo Plays to auto-enroll Contacts into these when appropriate.

• Track and Analyze: Continuously monitor your sequence performance and adjust based on data and feedback.

Technical Notes

• Users need a minimum of the paid, 'Professional' tier of Apollo to integrate Orum

• If IP whitelisting is in use, the 104.198.168.220 IP address will be used to send Apollo API requests

• One of the users from your org has to go into the dialer tab, link their Orum account with their Apollo account, and only then can they set up disposition mappings, otherwise the below error message could appear.
