Enable desktop notifications for inbound calls to alert you and make it easier for you to respond promptly.

🚨 The #1 best way to answer an inbound call is still through your call-forwarding number. We highly recommend setting up a call forwarding number to answer inbound calls and receive notifications.

This guide will take you through how to enable desktop notifications in all three locations to receive alerts: 

1. Directly in personal settings in Orum
2. Your browser 
3. Your computer 

How Desktop Notifications Work

When desktop notifications are enabled, you will receive a pop-up alert for incoming calls. Clicking the notification will take you directly to Orum, where you can:

• Accept the call in your browser if you are dialed in and in a dialing session.
• View prospect details and answer the call on your call forwarding number if you are not dialed in.

Enabling Desktop Notifications in Orum

To enable desktop notifications for inbound calls, follow these steps:

1. Go to Personal Settings:
   • Click on your profile icon in the top-right corner of the Orum dashboard.
   • Select "Personal Settings" from the dropdown menu.
2. Toggle Desktop Notifications On:
   • Find the "Desktop Notifications" option and toggle it on.

After toggling the "Desktop Notifications" option to be on in Orum, you need to make sure you allow notifications from your browser. Here’s how to enable notifications for some of the most popular browsers:

Lastly, you'll need to ensure that your computer settings allow notifications from your browser. This might involve adjusting your computer's notification settings to permit notifications from your preferred browser.
