Chatting on the Salesfloor allows for seamless communication between team members. Here's how you can navigate chat and use its various functions.
Opening the chat panel
To access the chat:
- Join a Salefloor room
- Locate the chat bubble at the bottom right corner of your screen
- Click on the chat bubble, and the chat panel will open
Sending a message
Once the chat panel is open:
- Type your message in the text box
- You can also upload files or add an emoji by selecting the appropriate icons next to the message box
- Press Send to deliver your message
Uploading files and GIFs
You can also upload files, including GIFs and videos in the chat:
- Click the file upload icon next to the message box
- Select the file or GIF you want to send and press Send
Reacting to a message
To react to a specific message:
- Hover over the message you want to react to
- A small emoji button will appear
- Click on the emoji to select a reaction
Performing additional actions
You can perform other actions on a message by hovering over it and clicking the three dots. The available options include:
- Replying to the message
- Editing your message (if it's your own)
- Deleting the message
Replying to a message
To reply to a message:
- Hover over the message and click the three dots (...) then select Reply
- Type your reply in the text box and click Send
- The original message will be displayed alongside your response for context
Tagging specific people
To tag someone in the chat:
- Type @ followed by the person's name
- Select the person from the dropdown menu that appears
- Type your message and press Send. The person you tagged will receive a notification
Receiving notifications
If someone tags you in a message:
- You'll receive a notification in the chat bubble on the bottom right of your screen
- Click on the chat bubble to see the message you were tagged in
FAQ
How long do chat messages last for?
Chat messages are retained for 30 days. After that, the messages are no longer available.
Will I get an alert or notification?
If you are tagged in a message, you'll see a new number indicator show in the chat bubble in the bottom panel of the Salesfloor.
