If you're an admin looking to effectively set up your Orum account for your entire team, you're in the right place. Orum provides a powerful platform for sales professionals, and to get the most out of it, you'll want to ensure that your account is properly configured.

General Setup Checklist

1. Log in and Authorize Orum

The first step is to log in to your Orum account and authorize it to connect to your CRM or sales tool of choice. This integration setup is crucial for a seamless workflow and data synchronization between Orum and your existing systems. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your Orum account.
  2. This will automatically take you to log in via your CRM or sales tool.
  3. Follow the prompts to authorize the connection.

2. Configure Call Dispositions

This step is recommended for most integrations but optional for Salesloft users. Call dispositions help categorize the outcomes of your calls, providing valuable data for analysis and follow-up. To configure call dispositions:

  1. Navigate to Account Settings by clicking on the gearwheel icon in the top-right. Here, you'll see an option in the left-side menu to add your call dispositions.
  2. Add the relevant call dispositions that align with your sales process. You can also follow our recommended best practices and guide.

3. Map Cause Dispositions

Orum provides an automation feature called Cause Disposition Mapping, which helps save time when dialing down your call list. When Orum automatically hangs up on a call, it assigns a 'cause.' You need to map this cause back to your CRM via a disposition you've established in the previous step.

To map Cause Dispositions:

  1. Navigate to Account settings
  2. Find the Cause Dispositions section and map the causes to corresponding dispositions in your CRM

4. Enable Call Recording and Monitoring

Enabling call recording provides visibility into every call made from Orum. It's an invaluable tool for quality control, training, and compliance purposes.

Orum's recording settings are flexible, allowing you to tailor them to your organization's compliance needs.

You can also enable call monitoring, allowing all users in your account to use various features in Orum, such as listening to calls on the Salesfloor. To enable call recording and monitoring:

  1. Go to Account Settings.
  2. Navigate to the Call Recording and Monitoring section.
  3. Configure your settings according to your organization's requirements.

5. Set Up International Calling

Orum supports international calling to countries including the USA, Canada, UK, Australia, Republic of Ireland, and New Zealand. To activate international calling:

  1. Reach out to Orum's support team within the platform
  2. Let them know which international countries you'd like to call into

6. Invite Users and Set Permissions
