If you need to call a specific prospect outside of a cadence, creating a one-off task in Salesloft is the perfect solution. This guide will walk you through the steps to create such tasks efficiently.
Steps to Create a One-Off Task
- Open the Create Tasks Module:
- Click the Plus sign (+) in the upper right corner of the Actions Dashboard Tasks Panel.
- Alternatively, use Person Quick Actions.
- Add a Subject:
- Enter a subject for the task. This can be anything to help you remember details about the task, up to 255 characters.
- Choose a Task Type:
- Select the task type. Note: Orum only pulls "Call" tasks.
- Add the Related Person:
- The Related Person is the individual in Salesloft linked to this task. If you create the task from the Person Profile page, this field will automatically populate with that person’s name.
- Enter a Due Date:
- Specify the date you want to complete this action. You have the option to add a specific time. Note: Orum will only pull DUE or PAST DUE Call Tasks.
- Set a Task Reminder:
- Click "Set Task Reminder" to add a specific time for the task. This will trigger a Chrome notification at the set time, useful for time-sensitive actions like scheduled calls.
- Enter a time of day or use the up-down arrows to adjust the time.
- If you decide not to set a reminder, click the minus icon next to the Reminder text box to cancel.
- Select the Assignee:
- Make sure to assign the task to yourself. Note: Tasks must be assigned to YOU to pull the task into Orum.
By following these steps, you can effectively create one-off tasks in Salesloft, ensuring you never miss an important call with a prospect.
