What Are Detection Modes?

Detection modes determine how Orum’s AI listens for a live voice and decides whether to connect the call to a rep. You can now choose between two modes directly in your Dialer settings:

  • Default (Recommended) → Provides a balance of speed and accuracy. Best for most users and workflows.

  • Fastest → Prioritizes quicker detection and connection. This option may connect slightly earlier but can also increase the chance of hitting voicemails.

When to Use Each Mode

  • Default Mode

    • Ideal for everyday calling sessions.

    • Reduces the risk of false positives (connecting to voicemail instead of a person).

    • Recommended when call accuracy is the top priority.

  • Fastest Mode

    • Useful when speed is critical.

    • May occasionally connect to voicemail due to its aggressive detection.

How to Change Detection Modes

  1. Open the Dialer settings panel in Orum.

  2. Locate the Detection Mode dropdown.

  3. Select either Default or Fastest.

  4. Start or resume your dialing session — your chosen mode will apply automatically.

Note: Detection Modes apply per user and can be changed anytime before or during a session.
