Adding Salesforce Custom Fields to Your Gong Engage Integration

Adding Salesforce Custom Fields to Your Gong Engage Integration

Orum's Gong Engage integration now supports Salesforce custom fields. When both

integrations are connected, you can surface your team's Salesforce custom fields directly in the

dialer alongside standard Gong Engage fields — so reps see the account context that matters

most to your business while they're on a live call.

This article explains what you need to get started, how the two integrations work together, and

how to add Salesforce custom fields at both the user level and the admin level.

Before you start

To use Salesforce custom fields with Gong Engage, two things need to be in place:

Both integrations must be added to your Orum account. Your Orum account needs

the Gong Engage integration and the Salesforce integration connected. If either one is

missing, Salesforce custom fields won't be available to add.

● You must be OAuth logged into both Gong Engage and Salesforce in the dialer.

Each rep needs to authenticate into both Gong Engage and Salesforce from within the

dialer. Custom fields only appear once you're signed in to both.

Once both integrations are connected and you're logged in, Salesforce custom fields become

available wherever you set visible fields for Gong Engage.

What field types are supported

The integration supports Salesforce custom fields at three levels:

Lead custom fields

Contact custom fields

Account custom fields

This means the custom data your team relies on across leads, contacts, and accounts can all

be pulled into the Gong Engage experience in the dialer.

Adding custom fields at the user level (Personal Settings)

Individual reps can choose which fields they want to see for their own dialer sessions.

1. Open Personal Settings in Orum.

2. Go to the visible fields settings for Gong Engage.

3. When selecting which fields to display, your Salesforce custom fields will appear as

available options alongside the standard Gong Engage fields.

4. Add the lead, contact, or account custom fields you want to see, then save.

Changes made in Personal Settings apply only to your own account — they won't affect anyone

else on your team.

Adding custom fields at the admin level (Integration System Settings)

Admins can set visible fields for the whole team from the integration's system settings.

1. Open the Integration System Settings for Gong Engage (admin access required).

2. Go to the visible fields settings.

3. Just like at the user level, your Salesforce custom fields will be available to add

alongside the standard Gong Engage fields.

4. Add the lead, contact, or account custom fields you want your team to see, then save.

Fields set here apply across the board to all new users going forward, giving your team a

consistent view without each rep having to configure their own settings.

Tips

● If Salesforce custom fields aren't showing up, confirm that both the Gong Engage and

Salesforce integrations are connected to your Orum account, and that you're OAuth

logged into both in the dialer.

● User-level settings in Personal Settings let individual reps tailor their own view, while

admin-level settings in Integration System Settings set the default for all new users.
