Apple’s iOS 26 update introduced new call screening behavior that automatically filters unknown calls before ringing through to the recipient. To help your team stay productive and maintain high connect rates, Orum now automatically detects and adapts to iOS call screeners.

Depending on your dialer mode — Power or Parallel — the experience works a bit differently.

For Power Dialing

When using Power Dialing, reps now have the option to automatically skip iOS call screeners.

How it works

• When the “Skip call screeners” toggle is enabled in the Dialer Options, Orum will detect Apple’s automated call screening prompt.

• If the system detects a screener, it automatically skips to the next contact on your list.

• This helps reps stay focused on live connects and avoid wasting time on screened calls.

Where to find it

1. Open your dialer view.

2. Under Dialer options, select your list.

3. Scroll to the Call skipping options section.

4. Enable the checkbox labeled Skip call screeners.

💡 Tip: You can combine this with “Skip busy/failed calls” or “Skip after 30 seconds of ringing” for an optimized flow.

For Parallel Dialing

Parallel Dialing now includes a comprehensive set of tools to help your team manage and overcome Apple’s iOS screeners.

Inside the Dialer options, you can now:

• Detect and skip iOS screeners (same as Power Dialer).

• Pre-record and auto-drop openers that play when a screener answers.

This gives you more flexibility to control how Orum handles these calls — whether to move on instantly or attempt a pass-through using a recorded opener.

How to set it up

1. In your Dialer options, select Parallel dialing.

2. Under the new Call screening tools section, you’ll see:

   • Skip call screeners: Automatically skip detected iOS screeners.

   • Record new opener: Record a short, general message that Orum can play when a screener answers.

3. Choose which option best fits your team’s strategy.

Best Practices for Call Screener Openers

• Keep your message short (5–8 seconds).

• Avoid hyper-personalized details — this opener is used across the list.

• Aim to sound natural and credible.
