In order for your team to book the required meetings/demos to hit your targets, they need enough Leads/Contacts and a Salesforce Report structure to support their daily dial KPI. This page provides the blueprints to ensure your system is fueled and structured for that output.
When using Salesforce with Orum, the "engine" is your Salesforce Report (see Orum's supported report types). If the report runs dry, the dialer stops. To ensure your team always has enough "fuel" for Orum, you need to move from static reports to dynamic, automated logic.
1. Build Dynamic Reports
To ensure Reps don't end up calling the same people every day, your Salesforce report must have "Self-Cleaning" filters. Example:
Filter 1: Last Call Date NOT EQUAL TO TODAY.
Filter 2: Call Counter LESS THAN 8.
Filter 3: Lead Status EQUALS "New".
Filter 4: Contact Owner EQUALS "[NAME]"
➡️ Why this works: As soon as a rep calls a lead in Orum, the Last Call Date updates in Salesforce. As they refresh the list/report in Orum throughout the day, leads disappear, ensuring the rep only sees "fresh" dialable records.
2. Automate Report Additions via Status Updates
To maintain a high-velocity dialing environment, the hand-off between Salesforce and Orum must be seamless. Instead of waiting for manual assignments, use Lead Status (or an equivalent field) as the primary driver to populate your "Dialing Reports." This ensures that every new lead is immediately available for outreach.
The Workflow: Configure a Salesforce Flow or simple field update so that whenever a new prospect enters the system, their Lead Status is set to "New."
The Action: In Salesforce, build a Lead Report specifically for your Orum dialer. Set the filter to: Lead Status EQUALS "New".
The Benefit: This creates a dynamic, real-time "Hot List." As soon as a rep dials a lead and moves their Lead Status from "New" to "In Progress" (or "Disqualified", etc.), that record automatically drops off the report.
➡️ Why this works: It keeps the Orum queue clean and focused only on un-contacted leads. Reps can stay in the dialer knowing that every record they see is a fresh opportunity that requires a call.
Management Tip: Coach your reps to update Lead Status immediately after each conversation (can be done in either Orum or in Salesforce). Alternatively, you can build a Salesforce Flow to automate Lead Status updates after a call is logged (based on the Disposition).
⚠️ ACTION ITEM: Audit your Salesforce "Orum Dialing Reports" today. Ensure they are filtered by Lead Status = New (or similar) and that they are populated with enough records to support your daily volume targets.
